Projects
San Diego Heat Risk Mapping
High-resolution heat risk mapping for San Diego County. A PCA-based composite risk index combining exposure (100m Landsat LST, impervious surface, tree canopy), sensitivity (CDC PLACES, SVI, morbidity data), and adaptive capacity (AC prevalence, income indicators) at 100m pixel resolution. Includes cool-surface intervention targeting and CMIP6 climate projections (3 GCMs × 3 SSPs, 2040–2059).
CSP Data Engineering Workshop
A teaching site for masters students in the CSP capstone program, covering data engineering fundamentals for research projects. Modules include environment setup (Conda, VS Code, GitHub), terminal basics, AI-assisted coding with Gemini CLI and Claude Code, and a hands-on demo building a Keeling Curve analysis.
Other Work
I also develop open source tools for climate science and coastal monitoring, including:
- LiDAR Coastal Monitoring: Workflows for processing and analyzing coastal elevation data
- Marine Carbon Removal Analysis: Tools for assessing OAE scalability and environmental impacts
